Build your first station
The basics of laying track, placing a platform, and connecting a station to the shared network.
-
Pick a spot that doesn’t block expansion
Check the network and coordinate before building near existing lines or reserved corridors. Leave room for future tracks.
-
Lay track and a platform
Use MTR-NextGen rails to lay your line and build a platform with clear edges. Keep platform layouts consistent with the network so riders know what to expect.
-
Add signage and a route
Set destination signage and a route using the network’s line colours and naming conventions. Don’t reuse a colour already claimed by an active line.
-
Connect to the network
Tie your line into an existing interchange cleanly. Once it’s carrying riders, it can be added to the public map.
