Rules, standards & trust

Plain-language rules for the server and the shared transit network.

Player conduct & general rules

The FoundryMTR server runs on shared transit infrastructure. These rules keep the world fair and the network usable for everyone.

  • Respect other players — no harassment, slurs, or targeted disruption.
  • No griefing, stealing, or destroying other players' builds.
  • No hacked clients, exploits, dupes, or unfair advantages.
  • Transit infrastructure must not intentionally disrupt other builds; coordinate before modifying shared lines or stations.
  • Staff may remove abandoned or disruptive infrastructure to keep the network running.
  • Use common sense around shared rail and transit space — leave room for others to connect.
  • Follow staff instructions, and any Discord/community guidelines once those channels are active.

Transit network rules

  • Do not block existing line expansion or reserved corridors.
  • Coordinate before editing shared stations or interchange hubs.
  • Don’t create route names or line colours that clash with active network standards.
  • Leave utility corridors near major stations for future lines and services.
  • Follow the network’s signage and colour conventions so the map stays readable.

Station & line standards

Use consistent platform layouts, clear destination signage, and the network’s line colours. Interchanges should connect cleanly so riders can transfer without confusion.

Claims & shared space

Rail corridors and stations are shared infrastructure. Personal builds are yours; the network is everyone’s. Don’t grief, wall off, or reroute shared track without coordinating.

Downloads & launcher trust

Official files come only from files.foundrymtr.com with published checksums on the downloads page. The launcher is open-source and currently unsigned — verify checksums; files from anywhere else aren’t ours.

Privacy

We collect the minimum to run a server: your Minecraft username/UUID and standard logs. This website sets no analytics or tracking cookies. Microsoft sign-in happens in the launcher, directly with Microsoft — we never see your password.

Enforcement

Breaking these rules can lead to warnings, build rollbacks, or removal from the server, scaled to the severity and intent. Network-damaging actions are treated seriously.

Appeals & contact

If you think a decision was wrong, or need to report an issue, use the support page. Include your Minecraft username and what happened.
