Getting started on FoundryMTR

What FoundryMTR is, what you need, and the fastest path to joining and riding the network.

1. Know what you’re joining

   FoundryMTR is a modded Minecraft survival server built around a shared, player-run transit network. You survive and build like normal — but the world is organised around rail lines and stations everyone uses.

2. Get the right client

   You need Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.4 with Fabric loader 0.19.3 and the FoundryMTR modpack (including MTR-NextGen 4.1.0). The launcher installs all of this for you; manual setup is also supported.

3. Join the server

   Connect to mc.foundrymtr.com. If you use the launcher, just sign in with Microsoft and press Play. Read the Install the Launcher guide for the step-by-step.

4. Learn the network

   Before building on shared rail space, read the rules and the “Build your first station” guide so your work connects cleanly to the map.
